"Come Unto Me All Ye That Are Heavy Laden"

My heart is heavy.  I am seeing so many people that I care about going through difficult times whether it is physical or emotional.  To some degree I feel helpless, wanting to reach out and take away all those things that cause pain.  All I have to give is a word.  Hopefully, no, prayerfully, it will bring some measure of comfort.  Some measure of hope.  Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart:  and ye shall find rest unto your soul.”  We have all heard that scripture over and over again.  We tend to place much of our focus on the promises that come with that particular verse.  The most important yet probably most overlook part of that verse is “learn of me”.  Jesus wants very much to pour Himself into you.  We all want healing.  We all want deliverance.  We all want the peace that can only come from God.  Know this, you cannot have the promises of God without the Son of God.  I implore everyone, from this moment forward, to set your focus on knowing Christ.  I urge you to find that place where you can be alone and spend time with Jesus, not looking for a blessing, but looking for a relationship.  Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine.  I can assure you of this, the bigger Jesus becomes in your life, the smaller your issues become.  Learn of Him.  Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. There is no better place to be than in the presence of the one who gave His life that you may have life.  For the moment, forget about your hurts.  Forget about your sufferings.  Open the door to your heart and let Him in.  You will find out for yourself that His yoke is truly easy and His burden is light.
